Restoring Vertical Dimension refers to the process of rebuilding the height of the bite to it’s optimal level, which may have been lost due to wear, aging, or tooth loss.
This procedure helps improve function, comfort, and the look of the teeth and jaws with proper alignment.
STEPS TO RESTORING VERTICAL DIMENSION
- An initial assessment is made – Dr. John checks the patient’s bite, teeth wear, overall oral health and dental history
- X-rays are taken if needed, and scans
- Sinus lifting, crowns, veneers, bridges, or dentures may be needed to help restore the lost vertical dimension
- Bite adjustments are made
- Follow up appointments are made if necessary!
