Gum disease prevention focuses on maintaining good oral hygiene or regular dental care to avoid the buildup of plaque and tartar, which can lead to gum infections or inflammation.
HOW DOES GUM DISEASE PREVENTION WORK?
- Regularly brush and floss teeth + using a water flosser too!
- Coming regularly to hygiene appointments (2 a year!)
- Coming regularly to periodic exams (2 a year!)
- Eating a balanced diet
- Limit or refraining from smoking
- If needed – Schedule deep cleanings and/or talk to Dr. John or your hygienist if you’re looking for further treatment.
